Ann Curry

Ann Curry is an American photographer and journalist. She has been a reporter for over 45 years, focusing on human suffering in the aftermath of natural catastrophes and war zones. Curry covered the conflicts that raged in Kosovo Iraq Syria Lebanon Palestine Afghanistan Darfur Congo, and Central African Republic. Ann Curry, (born November 19th 1956, Agana American journalist and television anchor and news reporter. She is most famous for her job as a correspondent on the Today program, which was a morning news program aired by the National Broadcasting Co. (NBC). Curry's reporting was notable because of her coverage of human emergencies that took place in war-torn nations as well as natural disasters. Curry was born in Japan, and raised by her Japanese mother. Her father was a U.S. Navy sailor. Curry's parents bonded in Japan, in which her father was stationed after World War II. Due to her father's military service the family has moved around quite a lot. Curry finished her high school studies within Ashland Oregon. The University of Oregon awarded her a bachelor of arts in journalism. As a child she was exposed diverse different cultures. The compassion she displays towards international affairs is probably due to her experience. Ann Curry has been a well-known American journalist since the beginning of the 1990s. Her first job would lead to a lucrative job by becoming an intern at broadcasting station KTVL Channel 10 Medford. It was her first time as a female news anchor at this station, at age 22. Then she was promoted to the post of anchor and reporter for KGW which was an NBC affiliate in Portland, Oregan. When she moved to Los Angeles, she became a reporter at KCBS TV within four years of making the move to the city. She was awarded the award of two Emmy Awards during the six years with the station.
